    • Project Qualification Programme

      • As part of St Martin's College's International Programme, during scholastic year 2017/2018, the College will be launching the Project Qualification Programme, a subject aimed at encouraging students to develop and master independent research skills and be responsible for their own learning. Our learners can sit for an international exam that can be taken in two phases:
      • Level 1 Foundation Project Qualification (Level 6 till Level 9)
      • Level 2 Higher Project Qualification (Level 10 till Level 11)

      • The course aims at:
      • •  developing new life and study skills.
      • •  extending from one or more of the learner's study areas and/or from an area of personal interest or activity outside their main programme of study.
      • •  creating a project based on a topic chosen by the learner.
      • •  obtaining the necessary skills required for the completion of the project.
      • •  becoming an autonomous learner.

      • With appropriate supervision, learners will be required to:
      • •  choose an area of interest, guided and mentored by the teacher.
      • •  draft the title and aims of the project for formal approval by the College.
      • •  plan, research and carry out the project.
      • •  deliver a presentation to a non-specialist audience.
      • •  provide evidence of all stages of project development and production for assessment.

      • Learning Outcomes:

      • The learner will:

      • •  identify, design and complete an individual project, applying a wide range of organisational skills and strategies to meet agreed objectives.

      • •  analyse data, apply it relevantly and demonstrate understanding of any appropriate linkages, connections and complexities of the topic.
