Art Option Programme
Level 9 and Level 10 students from our Art option Programme, visited a number of Art Museums and Exhibitions during an outing in Valletta last Friday.
At MUZA, Malta’s National Community Art Museum, they discussed and sketched important works from JWM Turner, Antonio Sciortino and Giuseppe Cali’ and viewed the temporary exhibition “Giorgio Preca ta’ Malta”, a Maltese artist who was courageous and innovative in his work despite the public opinion at the time .
They also visited an exhibition at Spazju Kreattiv by a leading local contemporary artist, Austin Camilleri “Le.Iva: Anger is a Lazy Form of Grief”.
The students were very lucky to meet the artist himself and the International world known curator Roza Martinez and assistant curator Irene Biolchini.
This outing gave our students the opportunity to analyse and discuss various works of arts, whilst appreciating the work of top local artists
