Shevaun Rooney and Adam Vassallo, two Level 13 students studying at St Martin’s College Sixth Form, attended the Sakharov Youth Seminar for European Parliament Ambassador Schools in Strasbourg, France, this week. The students also had the opportunity to attend the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought award ceremony. This prestigious prize is awarded each year by the European Parliament to honour individuals and organisations defending human rights and fundamental freedoms. This year the Prize was awarded to the People of Ukraine.
