Filippa Gauci and Matthew Cremona, two students studying Maltese at Advanced level at St Martin’s College Sixth Form, yesterday participated in Juvenes Translatores, a translation competition organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Translation. The aim of this contest is to promote multilingualism and intercultural understanding, as well as encourage students to consider a career in translation. The students’ teacher of Maltese, Ms Mandy Tabone, ably helped them to prepare for this contest.
