We do hope that you now have a brief overview of our school day and programmes. We know that choosing a school for your child is never an easy decision to take and that you may have some queries or concerns. A member of my team or myself would be more than pleased to meet you to go through any questions you may have and guide you through the Admissions process.

Enquiry

Prior to Admission:

1. An introductory meeting is held between the Registrar or a member of the Admissions Team, the parents, and their child/children.

2. Prospective students over the age of 2 years are assessed as follows:

  • Early Years 1 and 2, Levels 1 and 2: A general assessment is conducted by the Head of School or their representative.
  • Levels 3 to 5: Students will sit for an assessment in Mathematics, English, and, for Maltese citizens, Maltese.
  • Levels 6 to 11: Students will visit the school for a comprehensive assessment, including a Cognitive Ability Test (CAT), an interview, and written assessments in Mathematics, English, and Maltese (for Maltese citizens). Additional subjects may be included if deemed necessary by the Admissions Team or the Head of School.

 

The Admissions Team will notify parents/guardians of the school’s decision regarding admission. Please note that the school’s decision is final.

 

Documentation Required:

1. School Report: A copy of your child’s current school report. The report must include a section on your child’s social and emotional well-being provided by the current Head of School. It should also include information on communication skills (both receptive and expressive), social interactions with peers and adults, and the ability to follow directions/instructions. Please note that the Head of School may contact the Head of your child’s previous school for additional information.

2. Chiswick House School Early Years Questionnaire: Applicable for Early Years 1 & 2 (not required if the child is under 2 years old at the time of registration).

3. Psychological Reports: Any relevant psychological reports (if applicable).

4. Birth Certificate: The child’s original birth certificate. An authenticated copy of the birth certificate must be provided if the original is not available. A certified official translation is required if the birth certificate is not in English.

5. Child’s Passport/ID Card: A photocopy of the child’s passport or ID card. If the child is not a Maltese national, a copy of their passport is required.

6. Parents’ Passports/ID Cards: A photocopy of the parents’ passports or ID cards. If the parents are not Maltese nationals, copies of their passports are required.

7. Vaccination Card: (Applicable to non-Maltese students) A photocopy of the child’s vaccination card.

8. Passport-Size Photo: A recent coloured passport-size photo of the child.
