Level 6: International Women's Day Time Capsule In honour of International Women's Day, our Level 6 Student Council representatives commemorated the occasion by burying a time capsule containing the names of all our inspirational female teachers at St Martin's College. This time capsule is scheduled to be opened in 2029, on International Women’s Day, when the students are in Level 11. The Student Council meets up regularly to discuss current issues and to come up with new ideas to brighten our school community. Well done to all for this lovely initiative to celebrate our wonderful female teachers!

GSSE Legacy

GSSE Legacy As part of the legacy of the GSSE held successfully in Malta in May 2023, students were invited to submit artwork or written pieces celebrating Malta’s historic victory in placing first in these Games for the first time in 38 years. The submissions were centered around themes of patriotism and pride. We are delighted to announce that Emily Caselli (Level 6), Valeria Barbara (Level 6) and Mia Cassar Borg (Level 11) emerged as three of the finalists.

Sixth Form Students Hold Online Discussion with Spanish Students Students attending St Martin’s College Sixth Form participated in an online discussion with Spanish students who attend Humanitas Bilingual School in Madrid. The exchange of ideas and opinions focused on issues concerning both countries and the EU, as well as the sharing of personal experiences as students of EU countries. St Martin’s College Sixth Form regularly provides students with different opportunities to effectively achieve cross cultural competence and strives to enrich the students’ intercultural experience.

Dr Roberta Metsola Visit to St Martin's College On March 8th, Dr Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, visited St Martin’s College. Dr Metsola was greeted by the College’s Board of Directors, alongside Mr Anthony Abela (Senior Leader Sixth Form) and members of the Sixth Form Student Council. Sixth Form students then had the opportunity to engage in conversation with her about various current issues. At the end of her visit, Dr Metsola also met some Level 11 students. Level 6: Malta SPCA visit Three Level 6 classes enjoyed a special visit from three members of the Malta SPCA, accompanied by an adorable poodle. During the visit, students engaged in activities which focused on raising awareness about the welfare of animals. Accompanied by our dedicated teachers, Paul Galea, Donatella Bongailas, and Stefan Galea, our students will also have the privilege of visiting the Council of Europe and exploring various other points of interest in Strasbourg.
