Dr Esmeralda Zerafa and Ms Audrey Fenech Adami become Heads of School We are pleased to share that Ms Audrey Fenech Adami and Dr Esmeralda Zerafa, who have been instrumental as Head Designates, will now be formally recognised as Heads of School within our school community. Ms Audrey will serve as the Head of Early Years, while Dr Esmeralda will assume the role of Head of Junior Years & Middle School. Both Ms Audrey and Dr Esmeralda have shown remarkable dedication, vision, and leadership in their respective areas, and this formal recognition is a reflection of their commitment to fostering an exceptional learning environment for our students. We are confident that they will continue to inspire and guide their teams effectively in these capacities. 2024 Creativity in Education Summit 2024 in Paris. Ms Audrey Fenech Adami, Ms Cynthia Rizzo, and Mr Francesco Nicodeme attended the 2024 Creativity in Education Summit 2024 in Paris. The event focused on empowering creativity in education through practical resources and aims to inspire educators and policymakers by providing tools and strategies to integrate creative resources in classrooms. The summit explored the intersection of innovation, technology, and pedagogy to foster student engagement, accessibility, and inclusivity. Participants will learn how creative tools, from digital technologies to experiential kits, can transform education. This event also encouraged collaboration among leaders to address the challenges of integrating new tools in standardized curricula. This initiative was organised by OECD-CERI, UNESCO IITE and GloCT (Global institute of Creative Thinking). Dr Duncan Mifsud visits St Martin's College Sixth Form Former Sixth Form student Dr Duncan Mifsud returned to inspire our A-Level Physics students with his remarkable journey from sixth form to obtaining a PhD in Astrochemistry. Currently engaged in cutting-edge research, he shared valuable insights into the challenges and rewards of life as a PhD student and researcher. ADHD Awareness Day

ADHD Awareness Day Our St Martin's College Wellbeing and PE teams organised a special football event to celebrate ADHD Awareness Day. Before the games, students participated in an insightful discussion about ADHD. The event featured tournaments for Levels 6 and 7, followed by Levels 8 and 9, and concluded with a full match between Levels 10 and 11. In an exciting finale, the Level 10 team won in a penalty shootout. This was a fantastic initiative to support and promote greater understanding of ADHD. Well done to all!

Heal and Teach Volunteers

Heal and Teach Volunteers Well done to our Spanish teachers, Ms Maria Carrion Saez and Ms Angela Prieto Vicente, for travelling to Ethiopia on a voluntary basis to support the Heal and Teach foundation by helping children in need. A special shoutout to our Sixth Form teacher, Mr Saviour Galea, who has inspired us through his regular trips to Africa to assist this foundation on a voluntary basis. A massive thank you to these educators for their hard work, and to the students who generously donated money to the organisation last June for casual day. Heal and Teach Foundation is a charitable organization registered in Malta. They work in Ethiopia, Kenya, Burundi, Uganda, and Ghana, striving to improve the future of poor children who need surgery, medical treatment, and education.
