NSTF Malta Student Science Forum

NSTF Malta Student Science Forum Three Level 12 students from St Martin’s College Sixth Form, Nicholas Samut, Celeste Tan Panza and Nikons Vasnins, recently participated in the NSTF Malta Student Science Forum. They presented and discussed various science-related topics relating to Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, as well as Maths and Physics. Project Based Learning

Project Based Learning Level 4s celebrated the culmination of an incredible project-based learning experience. They created an extraordinary Roman Expo which was put together during their Global and Cultural Perspectives lessons. Our Level 3 pupils were invited to visit the interactive exhibits to learn all about the Romans. Well done to all our Level 4s for their commitment, collaboration, creativity, and hard work. European Parliament Ambassador School Programme

European Parliament Ambassador School Programme On the occasion of Europe Day celebrated TODAY the 9th May, the European Parliament Ambassador School Programme organised an interschool quiz about the European Union. A group of Level 8 students represented us today after winning the Level 8 quiz organised at the college a few weeks ago. We are proud to announce that St Martin’s College is once again a European Union Parliament Ambassador School and delighted that our college achieved joint third place in this competition! Anti-Bullying event

Anti-Bullying event The well-being team has organised an Anti-Bullying event for our Middle School and Senior School Students. Dignity Revolution from Minnesota were invited to speak to our students. Dignity Revolution's mission is to educate and empower youth to stand up for the value of every person. Various speakers delivered sessions on the subject of interpersonal care and the importance of seeking out role models. They motivated students to identify an inspirational figure and strive to emulate them while also being a source of inspiration for others. Truly inspirational and uplifting!

Financial Capability Quiz

Financial Capability Quiz The HSBC Malta Foundation in collaboration with ĠEMMA hosted a competitive Financial Capability Quiz for all schools and launched their new ĠEMMA Financial literacy flashcards. The initiative was open to Year 7 and 8 students. The quiz comprised of both recall and application of financial knowledge and understanding. A group of Level 8 and a group of Level 7 students represented St Martin's College and were accompanied by Mr Nabil. We are so proud to announce that our Level 8 group won 1st place! Well done to all.

Transnational European Parliament Ambassador Schools Symposium

Transnational European Parliament Ambassador Schools Symposium A group of nine students attending St Martin’s College Sixth Form participated in a Transnational European Parliament Ambassador Schools Symposium held in Cyprus, along with delegates from Ireland, Cyprus and the UK. In line with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen’s proposal to make 2023 the European Year of Skills, the theme of the Symposium was “Jobs of the Future”. In addition to a number of interesting workshops and a visit to Regional Lyceum Apostolos Loukas in Kolossi, our students enjoyed a guided tour of Nicosia and also visited the Graeco-Roman amphitheatre at the ancient site of Kourion. The event was organized by the European Parliament Liaison Office, Cyprus in collaboration with the European Parliament Liaison Office, Malta.

Ekoskola

Ekoskola St Martin’s College Ekoskola team and the Student Council collaborated together and came up with a wonderful initiative. They organised a clean-up in the road adjacent to the school. Volunteers from Middle School and Senior School participated in this friendly competition, as part of the Litterless Campaign of the Young Reporters for the Environment. A phenomenal amount of 402kgs of rubbish was collected. Well done students!
