St Martin's College Level 8 Students in Sicily Two groups of St Martin’s College students, comprising Level 8s and Senior School students, recently enjoyed separate, fun-packed days in Sicily filled with adventure and cultural exploration. The journeys began with a visit to Parcallario Adventure Park, where students engaged in various fun activities. Following this, they explored the charming town of Modica, immersing themselves in the rich Sicilian culture and sampling delicious local delicacies. A special thanks goes to Ms Grazia Strano for organising these fantastic trips, and to the wonderful team of teachers who accompanied the groups. These trips were truly another amazing learning experience for our students!

San Anton Gardens Maths Trail

Level 3 Maths Trail Yesterday, our Level 3 learners visited San Anton Gardens for a fun and engaging Maths Trail. Learners had the enriching opportunity to consolidate their understanding of place value, time, shapes and other topics which have been covered during their lessons. This forms part of our outdoor learning initiatives. At Chiswick House School, we believe that outdoor learning can enrich children's learning opportunities and give them the possibility to put their learning into practice in real life situations.

CHS Student Council Donation

CHS Student Council Donation CHS Student Council are featured here presenting a generous donation to Dr Decelis for and on behalf of Puttinu Cares. The proceeds were collected during the Christmas Fair organised by the Council and was open to all Levels 1 to 5. This donation strongly reflects our school’s alignment to: Commitment, Collaboration, Compassion and Contribution. In addition, during Assembly, Ms Sarah (Art Teacher) presented the awards for the recent Art Competition organised by the Council. This competition showcased the incredible talent and creativity of our learners and hopefully will inspire others to pursue their passions and talents. A big well done to all, keep it up!

Webinars for Parents: Millie Career Guidance Two webinars for parents were hosted by St Martin’s College Sixth Form in collaboration with Millie Careers Guidance agency. During the first webinar information was given about different university application processes and entry requirements The second webinar focused on scholarships, funding and summer programmes for pre-university students. Parents also had the opportunity to engage in Q&A sessions. Millie is an online agency offering support to careers advisers, students and parents with international university applications. St Martin’s College Sixth Form is a Millie Partner school.

Fake News and Misinformation Workshop

Fake News and Misinformation Workshop Our Level 7 students participated in a workshop organised and delivered by Professor Gorg Mallia and Ms Megan Mallia (St Martin's College Alumna) from the Department of Media and Communication, Faculty of Media and Knowledge Sciences. The workshop focused on misinformation often found in the media and aimed at creating awareness of verifying the authenticity of published information. Fake news and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) were other points of discussion during the workshop.

Rock The House 2024 We were thrilled to host our highly anticipated ROCK THE HOUSE event at St Martin’s College. Our talented performers captivated a cheering crowd of students. Our wonderful staff also performed a dance for the excited crowd, inspiring everyone to stand up, sing, and dance along! Well done to all students for attending and performing, and to our staff for their participation and organisation of yet another fantastic show. Level 5 Trip to Gozo

Level 5 Trip to Gozo Our Level 5 learners had an inspiring day trip to Gozo! They started their adventure at the visitor centre, where they learned more about the history of the Citadel and the island of Gozo. From there, they explored the intriguing former prison and strolled along the majestic historic bastions. They also admired Antonio Manuele's impressive artwork during their visit to the cathedral. The excitement continued with a delicious lunch at Ramla l-Ħamra. What a fabulous day of fun and learning in Gozo!
