Nine of our Early Years teachers and LSEs recently visited Nido Scuola Clorofilla in Milan for professional learning and an immersive experience of the Reggio Emilia approach.
They explored bilingualism, pluriculturalism, and pedagogy, with focus on how learning environments and architecture can act as the “third teacher”, supporting curiosity, independence, and meaningful learning.
A key highlight was experiencing ateliers, creative workshop spaces rich in materials that encourage exploration, expression, and hands-on inquiry. This experience connects strongly with our Creative Cogs programme and pedagogy at Chiswick House School, where we design learning spaces and opportunities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and child-led learning every day.
We look forward to bringing more ideas back into our classrooms!
