The Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) is a challenging yet rewarding programme designed to help young people develop essential life skills, resilience, and teamwork. One of the key components of the DofE Award is the Adventurous Journey, which is a self-sufficient outdoor adventure that follows a set route, allowing participants to demonstrate their competence in navigation, campcraft, and teamwork.
Our Silver award participants, from Levels 10 and 11, took part in their practice journey recently. This involved walking from Pembroke to Mosta, camping overnight and then completing their journey the following day, ending up in Golden Bay. All sixteen students displayed great resilience and determination, pushing themselves and their team mates to complete the activity.
Well done to all participants!
