Networks are a crucial topic within the Computing SEC syllabus, and our students had the opportunity to experience them firsthand!
During an immersive visit to GO they explored various types of connectivity, with a special focus on Malta’s transition to fiber cables. Through a three-hour workshop, students engaged with different departments involved in delivering network services to households, businesses, and beyond. They gained valuable insights into the transition from copper to fiber and even had the unique experience of splicing fiber and working with copper cables.
A huge thank you to GO and its dedicated team for organising this informative and interactive workshop! This hands-on experience allowed students to engage with cutting-edge technology that is rarely accessible in a classroom setting
