A group of St Martin’s College students travelled to Florence for an exciting educational trip focused on art and Italian culture.
Our students had the opportunity to explore some of the city’s most famous landmarks and museums, including the Uffizi Gallery, the Galleria dell’Accademia, and Palazzo Pitti with the Boboli Gardens.
The programme also included viewing beautiful masterpieces by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, and Caravaggio, a walking tour of Florence, hands-on art workshops, Italian language sessions, and a day trip to Pisa to admire the famous Leaning Tower and the stunning Piazza dei Miracoli.
To top it all off, our students enjoyed a fun pasta-making class, preparing traditional pasta and tiramisu together.
It was a memorable week of art, culture, and discovery, bringing classroom learning to life in the heart of the Renaissance!
